Master's student: Nicole Krotky

Nicole Krotky is a Master’s student in Bio Data Science at University of Applied Sciences Wiener Neustadt and joined the group to conduct her thesis. Her research project focuses on assessing and modifying edge-specific network algorithms, specifically Forman-Ricci and Ollivier-Ricci curvature, to improve the analysis of complex microbial interaction networks. Nicole brings a strong interdisciplinary background, already holding a Master’s degree in Comparative Biomedicine from the University of Veterinary Medicine Vienna. Prior to her current studies, she worked as a Senior Scientist and Lab Technician, gaining expertise in mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS) and molecular diagnostics.
